The advantage is that you can make certain modifications without having difficulties handling the finished product. You can easily recognize this kind of flare because of its appearance. Double flare is recognizable because of its funnel appearance which contributes to its function. Remember also that its backside is at 45 degrees angle, hence its name. Aside from the brake system, you can also use this flare for the clutch system which also uses high-pressure circuits. They designed the tubing of this flare to create a stronger seat surface for the flare nut to tighten against. This was done by folding the tube on itself.
Bubble flares commonly used by people from Europe. Also known as ISO, Metric-style, or DIN, it serves the same function as the other flares although there are specific differences you should note. For one, the back side of the flare is at 90 degrees. Also, the end of the tubing looks like a button, so it can be easily recognized. We mainly use this kind of flare in domestic applications. If you look at European imports, you will usually find this type.

The single flare steel lines have also been used for brake lines, but ideally, it should be used with stainless steel where the Army Navy fittings are needed. These fittings cannot interchange with other types that is why this flare may not be that flexible. It might not be the best decision to use it for cars because of the lack of variation. Also, another problem with this is that it cannot handle extreme pressure which is required by most vehicles are in use nowadays.
